New parts

I'M stoked, got my new door and rear hatch seals today. Also got all my new vacuum lines, so hopefully if there are any leaks, they will be stopped. Now I just hope the car starts, it's been outside and down to 8 degrees here.

Saw this from another thread and started following on FB. Looking forward to attending events now that I own a "classic".

Got the door seals on, what a huge difference. On the rear hatch has anyone had to adjust the latch? It is very hard to close, but afraid to move it for fear of water leaks.

Were the door seals Mazda OEM parts? Where did you order them from?

Atkins has the L and R OEM mazda parts for $70 each and was thinking that was the best way to go?

Do they include all of the small plastic clips or do those get transfered over from the old seal?

Not sure about the latch adjustment. I have had my latch assy unbolted from the glass but never messed around with the actual latch unit behind the rear hatch carpet.

If it is adjustable I would adjust it, the seal does not need to be extremely tight

I got the same set you did from Atkins. I think I will let it sit in the sun wit it latched to see if when soft, maybe will conform better. It's freezing cold here in NC this week, so that's not helping.

Wow, I vastly underestimated the amount of vacuum line I need, went through 10 ft with the rats nest and cruise. Back to eBay. Got all the seals on and very happy with the noise reduction cruising around.
