Post some pics..

The range is wide depending on the condition. 2-8k. With automatic eww subtract 1000.

It's just a personal opinion. The car does not feel the same to me when driving it in auto.

auto ares significantly worth less money, usually they don't even sell for 1/2 what you wanted

That's a cool little car. Your camera.. not so cool!

Not sure what it's worth, I've always steered clear of the 79/80 models. Good luck with it.

I saw an 80 on ebay with 72k sell for one grand. It was a two owner car, in VERY good shape. I thought it would sell for more, but ???

Think so. Don't believe you could get factory sunroof on the lower trim level.

Very, very, very nice! That's is one nicely preserved specimen. I'd say at least $2,000-$3,000 easily, if it's in as good condition as the photos suggest.

As far as the auto is concerned, that's what it came with and it makes the car in my opinion, adds to the value, doesn't subtract. After all, there weren't nearly as many autos made as standards, making that car all the more rare and valuable.

The guys going "eeeew" to the auto are just bigoted, I doubt they have ever driven or even seen an RX-7 with an auto (a friend of mine has one and he really likes it, especially in traffic, where he does a lot of his driving).

Why doesn't your friend keep it?? You will never find another one like that.

$4000 is my estimate. New paint and a engine compartment detail and maybe up to $6k.

Edit: Oh wait it's automatic.. make that $3000 my bad..

Those seats do indeed resemble the Special Anniversary edition.
