does any one know any sites to get legit japanese parts for the first gen rx7? i highly DISLIKE american parts. hence why i drive only japanese makes. i want a header made by japan mainly. thats my big thing im trying to find. i do NOT want RB or pacesetter. please help

 

I understand your request, but have you ever seen/used an RB Header? They are by far - one of the best made parts for the Rotary. Well made, well designed, and use of excellent materials. One of the few things that can be said of American parts lately.

 

The racingbeat header is very well made...

 

well i guess ur just SOL. cause i don't think there's anything aftermarket for the rx7 that's japanese made.

The only header you'll find that performs better than RB is an SDJ, made in America. Good luck finding one.

If you want Japanese parts, try Yahoo.jp. That's where some of my parts have come from, but through an intermediary. For the 1st gens, most of the good parts are made here in the USA.

oh and to answer your question yes i have used RB before. on my fc. it had true dual apexi n1 3inch from the RB header back no presilencer or cats.

He'd **** bricks. I thought the US made good car parts. It's just that the big three likes to outsource their manufacturing elsewhere so we get crap for cars...

I suspect he may be buying parts typically from the mega retailer parts outfits which IMO sell inferior parts I'd go to an outfit that supplies the professional installers.

reminds me of an old story, guy comes in the store and wants tune up parts for his honda cap rotor yadda yadda, at the time we carried Beck Arnley for imports, so upon seeing made in Japan on the dist cap box barked "I don't want this crap" ... "it's made in Japan" I had to ask him if he was serious ... Sir you do realize the car was made in Japan right? How long did the old one last?

So ultimatley what is it you are looking for? Quality products or just to be different? Check Aus as well they have vendors, I contacted one and the freight alone for a shoe size box would be $125.00. Do research its not a matter of where it is made but the "quality control of the facility"

thank you for that. that makes alot of sense. i just want my fb to have its japanese sports car inside brought out you know. and everyone(minus the ones that helped) is pmsing because i dont like american parts. i love RacingBeat. there exhausts are amazing. I DO want to be different from everyone else. everyone on here uses some sort of american parts. i just wanted to know if anyone knew any Japanese vendors for exhaust and suspension maybe. thats all i asked and i got bitched at. ive been helped on all my other threads and then when i say one thing against america now i probably wont be helped. this is bullshit if you ask me

 

dude I wouldn't take it personal, the internet is not the best at conveying the tone of a message or question. If you posed it like you just have that you want to try something different or wanted OE because you were restoring the response would have been better then american parts suck or are crap. I honestly liked seeing the american pride that was displayed

But take this for what you want, I am in the parts biz nearly 30 years and most parts are not made in the USA or Japan anymore. Try India. Mayalsia, China, Pakistan, Hungry, Mexico etc etc. Hence why I referred to "quality control".

With that being said your comments are you have an issue with the USA and are applying for a Visa to leave. How much help would you give someone that responded like that? Will you be able to take your LHD car with you? If not its all a mood point

PMSing? not at all. just asking a question just like u. u'd probably get the same response of ppl asking why u were dead against us made parts if u had a honda and on one of their boards asking the same thing. we would just like to know what bad experience cause u to dislike any automotive part made made here. u can't expect to come on here with such negativity without someone asking why. u could head over to the ausrotary site. they may be of more help since the do have their own aftermarket market. but they do sell to the us. or r u against that too.
