engine blew??? thought it was just the motec? i ended up booking out in a hurry thursday and took mine home and was gonna try and fix the rear end. ended up not blowing diff but the bearing caps and races jumped teeth and trashed the housing and bearings and wasnt able to get new parts in time unfortunately.
anyways it was nice meeting ya over there. hopefully ill see ya at nats next year out in utah!

I am going to take them up on their offer in order to finish out the 2008 season. I have two events left. Both are at Buttonwillow, Oct. and Nov. That's 4 race's and 4 points paying Time Trial events.
After that I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm still having thoughts of having a 13PP built by someone at Racing Beat, but still having Tripoint do the install and tuning of the MOTEC. Tripoint does good work, but I just haven't had good luck with the rotary motors they've built for me.
I can bump up to the ST1/TTU class if I go with a 13PP.

That would be sweet. Unfortunately a motor like that would put me up 2 classes into Super Unlimited/TTR. It's also more expensive.
I'm thinking of having a crazy 13PP built, all alluminum, ceremet coat, 2 piece eccentric shaft, ceramic apex seals, etc... I want an engine that can last all season (about 26+ hours) and put out 300-325+WHP. This motor and intake should be about 50lbs lighter than my current motor which only puts out 215WHP. This would be ideal since my car is slightly heavier in the front than the back. I would be back to an ideal 50/50 with an all alluminum 13B and have almost 100 more HP.
I also have a few more tricks up my sleeve for next year. I might cut the old inner fender wells and weld in new ones. I need slightly more tire clearance in the front so that I can lower the car about 1" more. There are 2 aero mods that I might have done in order to both increase top speed and add front downforce or (reduce front end lift). Getting the car to handle better is almost more important than increasing HP. I would like both though. My chase cam accelerometer/G meter showed us sustaining around 1.3-1.4 cornering G's. We saw some instantaneous G's of close to 1.8-1.9 on entry to some corners. With more suspension tuning we should be pushing 1.5 sustained G's.
