My new GSL-SE arrived! {PICS}

Well she's here!!! Arrived on a truck from Colorado @ 7PM. I have to say I'm impressed, the car is in even better shape than I imagined. It's just a tick over 67k miles, the interior is immaculate.

I'm also happy that it came with the original window sticker, manual, and related paperwork! It's the little things that make us enthusiasts happy!

I'll post more detailed pictures, the car arrived when it was dark so we didn't get any outside other than when it was on the truck. I'm so happy to be back in an RX-7, it's been a long time!

It's not Monday, yet!

Looks nice! Mine looked a lot like that when I bought it. Not so much, now.

The sheet in the upper corner on the wind screen shows the car had two additional options; pin striping and the glass sunroof. The seller is checking on the glass sunroof as he may still have it in storage. It shows a glass sunroof in 1985 was a $571 option.

I'm going to get some pics when I get home, it was much too dark last night.

The car came out of Denver, it had been the family of the seller since 1989.

I have to wait until the title arrives (tomorrow) so I can get some plates and an inspection on it.

you really got lucky with this one!! the car is really pretty complete as far as paperwork goes. out of the 23 7's that i've owned, i have never had all of the paperwork. the only original window sticker i have is for my 88 TII. and thats all the paperwork i have for it! i like that a/c warranty booklet. i've never seen one of those.

Nice, another Austin GSL-SE! It looks pretty mint, are you going to drive it much around town?

Yes. I'll drive it almost daily, depending on work and biking schedule. For the next month or so I'm going to spend the weekends detailing it inside and out, and replacing fluids and other maintenance items just so I have a baseline to work off of.

Do you attend any RX club meets or events? Are there any that actually draw some people?

I forgot to mention that the car came with both original keys and surprisingly the door locks and ignition do not have that "play" or "slop" that my other 1st gens had. No starting this one with a dime.

Nice find.
I demand more pics and I see a lot of potential for that engine bay.

I have a question now that you bring that up. Why is there a LOOP in the fuel lines? Do you see in the bottom of one of the pics? It's like the send and return lines are looped together. The car runs and idles fine, just curious as to why it's like that.

You mean in the lower right hand corner? I have no idea, I don't have that kind of setup.

yeah.. bottom right corner.. Why would the send and return line be linked like that?

I'm going to start a new thread on this in the technical section when I get home.

those lines are definatly not stock like that. find out where they run to underneath the car and post back with what you find!
