My new daily driver.

Well until the 7 is up to the task this is my new ride. lots of miles, really cheap price, bigger price tag to fix **** than a fd when it breaks

I like it! I will take more pics later when its all cleaned up and next to the 7 :P

Those rims will be up for grabs if someone wants them let me know i am putting the stockers back on it! They are 15's

It cost me about 17 benjamins buy the time i got it here. I have another 400 or so in parts i am gonna do for preventive maintenance on the car. Timing belt, tensioner, water pump, oil pump and i think i am gonna drop the pan and change out rod bearings too Then back to the 7 for paint i just could not turn it down at this price. Would have been alot of money to throw at the 7 but meh another car is always cool! I love rotaries but i also dont swing on there nut sack either like alot do. I am a true car guy!

24v 3.0 dohc 222 hp 218 trq. They are all predominantly fwd even the awd models have a split like 60 40 or something.

The banana wing will be coming off for sure. I did not get this one for speed. If i like the platform i might move up to the vr4 model!

Actually the awd model is predominantly rwd. I have driven both, and the awd is quite different to drive than the fwd model. My brother has an awd one, and I can keep the thing sideways forever in heavy rain or in the snow. I believe the split is more like 30 front and 70 back.
By the way, it looks like a very nice stealth you found there.

nice car!! i despise the AR wheels. i'd leave the wing just so you dont have to dick around with having holes on your deck lid. whats the mileage? when was the oil pump replaced last?? its unfortunate but i have a ton of experience with the VR4's.. a good friend of mine owns a 91 VR4. great car but expensive to maintain. as of late the rear camber seems to be off a considerbale amount. i remember replacing the engine and trans on the VR4, half shafts, brakes, a front camber kit, 60K mile service..what a pain to work on as far a clearances go. nice car though. any interior or engine bay pics?

Don't say that. Most of the mechanics I know are complete dolts.

Case + point. My friend Mike, who is a mechanic by trade, did a motor swap in his Beretta to a 3.4L out of a Malibu. He wanted to re-use the fluids (oil, antifreeze, etc) from the old engine.

He then continued to turbocharge the motor. He mounted the turbo to the frame and ran a flex off the manifold to the turbo. After which, he dropped a valve spring by severely over-revving the motor, and that was like 2 years ago. He still drives / races / beats on it, with the bad spring. Oh yea, and it had no tune for a while, and he was getting 19:1 a/f ratio under boost. Still continued to drive / race / beat on said car.

This has convinced me to never take my car to a mechanic.

Whoops yetterban, I forgot to add pistons to my list of no-no's. Definately need to Dis the Dodge! Well, OK, at least it looks pretty cool.

And yeah any rotor head can have fun servicing the other cars in the stable. I do all the work on my 2002 Mazda Protege5 and our 93 Jeep Wrangler. We even took the Wrangler to the OGTA meeting last night:

And some photos of the work in progress:

The 7 smells like ****... and my DD smells like fried chicken...

A quick question though, my friend works flat rate, and IMO this is garbage. Plus, he gets charged if something breaks on a car he works on. Is that normal? I mean I can see if he actually breaks something by stupidity, but what if a bolt is rusted and snaps, or something is already in bad shape and breaks? He has to pay for it, which, IMO, is nucking futs.

More power to you if you're willing to deal with that crap, but I'll stick to driving a powered industrial truck for $40k a year.

I do get paid flate rate. So if a timing belt jobs comes into my stall and alldata books it out for say 6 hours. Thats all i get paid for that job is 6 hours. most of the time i can get it done sooner. Anything over 40 hours a week tha t i book i get x2 time on my pay. If i dont book out 40 i have a contract that i will get paid atleast 30.

AS far as **** breaking we dont get charged for that unless i get pissed and throw a breaker bar threw the windshield lol!

Ray that jeep is hot man a bad *** machine its no willeys but its no slouch either

Sometimes i get a little pissy with people who think the rotary is the end all of motors.

Like i said in a previous thread i would rather have a v12 with 6 screaming weber's

For all intensive purpose's the car is a Mitsubishi! Only difference the ground effects!
