Nice car, I've always liked the late model c4s. Grand sport is my favorite though.

thank you! i really like the Grand Sports as well.. waaaaaaaay out of my budget for sure. i paid $3500 for my Corvette and another $800 in transport fees in bringing it home. overall, i have less than in the car. big bang for the buck!

Nicce Vette - I'm a big fan of the C5's especially, but yours looks phenomenal.

I have to admit, I was digging your minivan and the kid's pedal cars as well... It's the dad life!!

Fair enough, I just thought it was interesting since there is a board on here dedicated to other cars xD But, that's just my OCD kicking in, it doesn't really matter what board stuff like this gets put in, or, I don't think so anyways xD

Only to find out that the PO unpluged them because they stay on and kill the battery. :P

That's the best looking $3500 vette I have ever seen. It could not have looked that good when you bought it. Great job!

Got the new clutch in. it feels pretty good and the car is more enjoyable to drive. from start to finish it took me about 10 hours. i was extremely meticulous and made sure the job was done correctly. the car has the black tag ZF transmission. not sure exactly what that indicates but i have heard there is a difference between a black tag and a blue tag trans. the shift **** is a little loose.. i will address that tomorrow morning. for now though, it feels great to have a clutch that works properly!

it is a German transmission, made by ZF. Black tags are manufactured in Germany and support a torque load of 450 ft./lbs.

i'm not sure why you think the ZF isn't a good trans, the ZF trans is an excellent transmission.

well i'm not sure why you think that i think that think that the german ZF isn't a good transmission...........because my point was that chevolet advertising that plays on american patriotism is undercut by corvettes have german transmissions.

and i forgot "chevy, like a rock"

and i guess ZF is a good transmission, i never there was a ZF transmission

it outsourcing. all companies do it and it just plain sucks. in the brochure for the vette it states that not all parts on the car are produced by Chevrolet. they are somewhat upfront in their hardc opied ad but never on t.v.

I only now understood what that guy was saying..kind of difficult to understand with the horrible grammar. You know how many manufacturers outsource drivetrain components? A lot. Mazda, Honda, GM, Chrysler etc etc. Many of which have outsourced transmissions from different countries.
