Lowered suspension?

Looking to lower my suspension for performance as well as appearance...thinking about making my FB a drift car. Can't really afford Re-speed coilovers, what do you guys think is the best alternative? Not really looking to slam it, but lower is better.

Well you can go with the racing beat lowering springs, but they might not lower your car any because the originals are currently sagging most likely.
Now, coilovers are your best bet.
Or you can go with the unsafe way and cut your springs.
This topic is also covered A LOT. Use the search function and have fun. There is more than enough information available on this site alone.

Within limits; if you lower it too far without making some fairly major changes to the geometry, your rear suspension will have a tendency to bind kinda abruptly in curves.

But then, you're interested in drifting, so it's not like maintaining traction while cornering is a goal for you, huh?

I was thinking lowering springs, illumina front struts, tokico blue rear shocks, and possibly cut springs in the rear.

Wouldnt those "universal" coilovers do the job? Im looking at lowering mine too but not interested in spending the amount ReSpeed is asking for theirs.

I forgot to mention for the ground control kit you still need this on top of the weld on kit.

I used tokico blues, with suspension technique springs, it gives you an ok drop, compared to stock.
Also considere the wheels you want to use 13"-16" and offset. Tire size can also be used to fill the ugly gap from the fender.

How does one determine the "Strut shaft" and "Spring perch" variables when ordering?

To be honest I'm not sure.
I looked into the coilover kit but I felt it was too much for what I wanted so I never went any farther than locating the companies that supply coilover kits for us.
