Lost the ability to pull my drivers side seatbelt.

Pull, stop; pull, stop. Not sure what happened. It use to work fine.

Any thoughts on how to unlock the seatbelt mechanism?

The locking cam can get messed up. You have to fiddle with it by releasing the cam and the "bar" that locks it in place and pull on it unless it works freely. Don't go monkey on it. It's not the easiest thing to do.

I ultimately got tired of trying to fix the belt.

I had another in the garage.

Seat belt replaced and working.
