So I own 3 vehicles; a 1993 Mazda Navajo 227K (rebadged Ford Explorer Sport),
a 2000 BMW 323i 122K and of source a 1980 Mazda Rx7 GS 108K. As of today
only one car is running.
The Rx7!
The Navajo suffered a burst brake line the week before last and last week it
started spewing gas out the top of the fuel tank. I have yet to get it in the
garage because...
Friday the BMW decides to drop all its coolant via a burst expansion tank while my
wife is driving it around downtown Charlotte. So I have parts ordered but they don't
come in until Wednesday (cross your fingers).
The Rx7 just keeps purring, well growling, along thru 100 degree heat and daily
use. You just can't beat the simplicity and reliablity of a 1st gen

lmao i was going to post this thread too! we just tore apart my old SA to change a bunch of stuff, we found...
the 103k, 30 year old struts are still good, they actually felt better than the koni's we were about to put in.
factory wheel bearings have no play, and looked NEW, even the grease is clean.
the only thing that car has ever needed in its entire life is a water pump, and distributor.
they REALLY built these things well....

No its silver (almost a sunbeam silver). We like silver cars
It was broke down at Cassamia and Providence Rd. Nice neigborhood. Everyone
would stop as they entered and ask if we were alright or needed anything.

Gotta love it, my daily driver b2200 has had to be shut down a few times, and I can always turn to the 7 with no problems. Now I just need to get my AC figured out, blew cold air when I got it, but no longer does.
