Idler Arm Bushing Replacement

Can anyone tell me how to keep the cam true as it comes through the mount, and how to keep the cam from shoving the top bushing out as it pushes through, so I can install the washer, nut, and pin?

jack up the car so the wheel is off the ground gives plenty of play in the idle arm/steering so you can insert the cam/tie rod end into the two bushings.

maybe I misunderstood your question?

Or remove the idler arm from the frame rail, install on arm, then reattach to frail rail.
