The GSL-SEs came with the 13bs...if you're really wanting to get one of those.

But since I don't know anything about carbs, I'll leave that to the rest.

its all about what you like some people are happy just steering a car down the road us first gen owner like to acually drive a car it the greatest feeling in the world you can feel the road and how the car is reacting and your controling the car instead of a computer doing it for you = pure fun

I just got done driving to Georgia and back (350miles round trip) Saturday, then Sunday going to Statesville and back twice (180 miles), ******* her for an hour in 95* heat with oil temps in the 180's, and she never stopped.

I agree with most of that, but the sunroof actually makes it more sturdy. A large flat piece of metal is less sturdy than the same size piece of metal with a ridge in the middle, which is what you get when you have the sunroof.

my GSL has 232,000 miles on the clock and it's on it's second engine. Only thing is, the first 12A never went, it just had to move to make way for the 80K mile 13B that was swapped into it (this was 10,000 miles ago) so the 12A made it to 222,000 and was still kicking. Where that engine is now or what condition it is in I've not a clue, but it was quite a testament to to the rotary engine.

When I bought my 83 LE I drove it 200 miles back to my house and it didn't miss a beat. I bought the car about 2 months a go and have already put 1k miles on it. Only recently I blew a heater hose, but I caught it before my car got too warm. I absolutely love my 7.

my new rx7 '84 gsl has been amazingly reliable since i got her only a few problems with the fusible link box wich i just put to rest and my starter breaing in the driveway.. right as my fusilink box broke what a coincidence.
it has 73k miles on it.. sat for like 15 years in ths guys moms yard and he got it when he was 19 lost his lisence in it and now its mine =) nothing wrong with it due to sitting.. just had to fix some oil leaks due to bad oil cooler seals.

my other 2 cars have alot of miles.... my '83 gs had 380k before i turned it into a parts car (its thats the original engine idk but if it is holy ****) and my '83gsl has 280k on the chassis but it has a 80-81 engine in it i found out due to haveing the wrong clutch to fit the smaller flywheel. pretty reliable to me =)

I have an '82 GS with the original 12A still in it. I bought the car in may 2004 with 81k on the clock/engine. Now in 2008 she has 155k and still running strong. I have AC and everything almost stock on her. She is a damn good little car. I am gonna hold on to her for a long time God willing.
