I'm thinking about restoring my old set of waffles similiar to what I did in this thread and to the same quality.

I was discussing it with Jeezus at our meet this past Sunday and I'm wondering what they would be worth restored with center caps?

tg - I dunno - good unrestored waffles sell all day on ebay for $15-25 each. I have personally, over time, bought 6 brand new waffles (4 with new original spare tire!) for under $45 each - some as little as $25. By the time someone factors in some $25-ish per wheel in shipping (?) - I'm thinking it leaves a pretty slim profit margin for someone to spend hours-per-rim in restoration...
only absolute way to know is prep a set and put 'em up for sale.

Good points.
I know if I go to one of the wheel refrubishing sites these wheels will be about $140.00 each refurbed with a core plus shipping. Thats a total of $380.00 plus shipping added on.
Lets see, I got a set for $70.00, spent $40.00 on prep materials but have some left over for others and spent about 8 hours the first time. I'd think at least $200.00 a set would be fair plus shipping.
Who knows, I may keep em and paint them dark grey and use them for fun day tires. I was just wondering what folks thought. Someone tried to tell me waffles went for big bucks but I had my doubts. Like you said theres a lot out there for sale all the time.

are these, "waffle" wheels hard to come by? i'd like to purchase some, have them refinished and painted gold in the center like, "7aull"
