Looking at Honest John's Classic Care reviews:

and he states that there are only 1700 Fb/Sa left ... in the world I assume and not in the UK.

What does everyone else think since he did quote global production figures at the top.

That number seems way low...but I have nothing to base my opinion on other than tons of them being listed for sale every week in CL.

Yeah, but I wonder if the number came from a search of DMV registrations from all the major Rx7 markets. Many Fb/Sa for sale on CL may be running but not currently registered or roadworthy.

I think he's only counting UK cars; many of his other statements in the article are UK-specific. Less than 2000 left worldwide seems radically low to me.

Especially considering how many of them we have each owned. I know a couple locals that have owned probably 15-20 each.

If that's all there were, mostly original ones like mine would be worth dollars, not pennies.
