Hold me!

As I start working on my swap, I've begun taking the drive shaft off. In order to remove the transmission, it's what you've got to do. It's just one of those things.

So two of theses bolts have become stripped! And the garage is full of gasoline vapors from the fuel lines being removed.

Now I'm pissed, sitting at the computer drinking.

I'm swapping the 12A to a S5 13BT, so I'm removing all lines.

I know what to do, noob. I stripped two nuts on the differential/u-joint mating surface thing.

BTW, I had no idea your FB was so badass. I hope mine is close to that. I'll be keeping a stock rear end, for now, so I have to keep the power low, and abuse lower.

The two on the bottom are just spinning. Cutoff wheel time tomorrow.

Wait. The d/s is held on by bolts AND nuts. You need a wrench on both sides or it will just spin.

edit: this may or may not have been obvious? lol

you dont need a wrench on the other side because the bolt head seats into its own notch and doesnt allow it to spin. if the nut is just spinning and is stripped and cannot turn off, i would grind it off and replace the nuts and bolts with new parts from the dealer.

To be more specific, my plans:

Stockport S5 13BT, with larger injectors (need to see what I'm looking at before I say anything)
Stock S5 turbo transmission
S5 TII ECU with RTek, until massive power is planned
BNR Stage (we'll see how it goes after the break in)
GSL rear end (diff and brakes)
RESpeed Coilover suspension
Three link rear suspension (need to get geometry specs on that)
All new bushings and bearings
SE Fuel Tank
If it can be deleted from the engine, it will be

Nice work. BTW are you using PB Blaster to help get stuff off? It's been a miracle for my rustbucket.

I have a skymaster 8804 (noticed your blue).

Funds have been diverted!

My Tracer took a dump, looking like head gasket or cylinder head. Ordering a new cylinder head (just in case). -$400 for the head, gasket, timing belt, drive belt, water pump....

$4100 left.

Head gasket? Cylinder head? What does all this mean? I think you have the language settings in windows all screwed up. Your words are coming across in some weird foriegn language.

If you think that PB Blaster is amazing, check out Aerokroil. At $12-$14/can it's not cheap, but it makes PB Blaster look like WD 40

oh, and to OP...good luck with the work.
