...at least, according to the Very Optimistic Japanese owner. Of course here you could pull a 'zero' off the price for a comparable US-spec car and be closer to the ball park. I mean, this is damn-nice Cosmo Sport territory! To its credit, have a gawk at the under carriage. As new. You could eat off the heat shields.
He has a Pair tho - this is a pretty basic model: no sRoof, no leather, not even a rear wiper... mind boggles at wot a dee-luxe version would be asking.

So maybe hang onto your low-mileage, unmolested SA/FBs folks. you might put your kids thru college yet. Or least here is ammo to show the Better Half why yer wankel money-pit is worth the Love...

It's the right color, anyway. Were those mesh wheels stock on jspec cars?

Note the rags between the car and the lift pads - - that's a meticulous owner, that is! 40,000 miles and it doesn't look like it's ever been outdoors.

On the interior pic; what's that odd-looking bar running across the psg-side floor?

Exhaust is non-stock; twin-pipe header back to the cat, & non-standard muffler.

Black air cleaner???

Dash air vents are messed up; center vanes not in line with the rest. Probably due to age-bowing of the plastic, happens a lot.

Key words say "repaired."

Well taken care of for sure.

I think that bar is a foot rest for height challenged individuals. Thats my best guess.

looks like a full on restoration , not an original survivor to me. the black filter cover could be a sign that its a 6-port 12a, but i thought the GT-X was for the turbo 12a 84-85

its a NICE car. i do notice a few things.

the plug wires are the originals, in the correct but mostly missing clip.

the alternator i think is a reman, the fan should be the gold cad and not silver, it is the correct part, just not the right finish.

the hood latch is unpainted?@?!!#?$>%?!?

the left headlight lid is misaligned, either its been off or something, these cars would pass the lexus marble test when they were new.

the heat shields will clean up and take paint really well, and maybe the bottom of the car is too black, and maybe the cat is too silver? hard to tell.

black air cleaner = 6 port 12A, i think the turbo is an option.

oOOoo i'd rather have this one, http://exchange.goo-net.com/usedcars...001/index.html

i love the mach green car but the red interior is just such a contrast i'm turned off by the car almost entirely.

the original tornado silver car posted is nice.. i do agree on the awful single tip muffler. the exhaust looks stainless to me and most certainly not original. its not even the dual pipe system as used on the 81-83 cars.. never seen a j-spec car with the 83 LE wheels. note though that they do not have the original LE center caps in them

also of note are the seats. 84-85 pattern but a seemingly slimmer seat frame and incorrect head rests. neat stuff there.

all sorts of JDMs coming out of the woodwork!
Prices seem to suggest they are more valued there...

Japan is notoriously a very expensive place, for pretty much everything.
