GSL-SE Wheels on SA

I am sure its been discussed before, and the bolt pattern is different. Anyone up to speed on putting Stock GSL-SE wheels on a '79 SA? Are hubs that fit the SE wheels readily available?

Thanks, Bill

You would need front rotors that are 4x114 for the front. These are not available but they can be redrilled. For the rear, it a little bit more complicated. You would need to convert the drum to disc and then have the axles redrilled to 114x4.

You could also swap the entire rear end with a GSL-SE one. For the front you could swap the GSL-SE spindles with all the brakes parts.

Much easier to just get some 15" wheels that are 4x110. The Konings looks good. I bought the Rewinds (15" 20mm offset 110x4)

+1 on Konigs. I run those on my SA as well. Great wheel for the price.

Also the selection of tires at 14 in. (SE size) is still not good. At 15 in you can really good rubber.

Watched your link, Restore your Waffles. I have a spare that has never been out ('79 GS w/ 80K, 2nd owner). Inspired me to restore them. Thanks, beautiful work.
