Got My Coil overs today!!
I just got me ReSpeed Coil overs in the mail today. I'm so glad somebody out there cares enough to make something like this for our cars.
Thanks Billy.
I'm still waiting on my shocks Illumina rear and Blue front.
I can't wait to get these on my car!!

Kentetsu, after I PMed Billy; I copied your setup. 275 front 150 rear. I went with Blues on the front to save $$. Iluminsas rear. I'm ordering the Sway bar in a few weeks with all new poly bushings. I'll be running Konig rewinds 15x7 @ 20 offset. I'll be using an SE ring and pinion to offset the larger diameter tires. by next year I hope to install the rack and pinion conversion and camber plates. then the ST rear adjustable sway bar. I'm holding off on the engine work because I plan on a T2 swap after the suspension is sorted.
thats the plan any way.

I almost went with the RB stuff several years ago. then life got in the way. Aside from moth-baling the seven for awhile I think it worked out for the best. More info on t2 swaps. better suspension and brake parts. when I first started researching upgrades somebody was just starting to experiment with a VW rack and pinion. I thought that was where it was at.
I forgot about the brakes. I'm doing RB braided lines with hawk pads. If I decide its not enough (or if I can flop the bill) I'll do ReSpeed Big brake kit. I probably need it any way with the T2 power.
With these mods and hopefully 350 horsed to the ground, I'll have a very good car that will make me happy for a very longtime.

I just ordered some stuff from Billy as well, but not nearly as exciting. I just got sway bar bushings, endlinks and tokico blues. All this is going to be paired up with eibach springs and 21.5x8 hoosiers on the stock wheels.

Well, if you're copying my setup then I know you'll be happy!
Good call on using the Illuminas on the rear. They'll make a bigger difference with the adjustments in regards to tuning the handling for over/understeer and for ride comfort. Good luck with the install, and take some pics if you can....

I don't have pictures yet. I ordered my Rewinds and UPS tracking says they should be delivers on Friday. Unfortunately This is a long distance project. the car is in Utah and I'm 100 miles away in Colorado. I'm gathering parts so on when I have days off I will go down and work on the car. If I get my shocks in time I hope to do the coil overs around July 7th. I still need rubber for the Rewinds
see this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/suspension-wheels-tires-brakes-20/help-chose-my-tires-848026/
Pictures will happen.
In the mean time look up posts by tallbozo, his 7 looked like mine before he removed his rear bumper. it was my inspiration for going with the Rewinds

thunkrd, as to why my car is in Utah it's a long story but basicaly I got married and moved to Colorado. I had a Motorcycle so the car took a back seat. Car is at my parents house. While I'm not using it is the perfect time to mod it.

So I had 2 days off back to back. Made the journy to Utah and here are the results.
rear Iluminas and Coil overs installed. front strut assembly removed. I brought the struts back with me to finish them up I hope I'll have them on the car in 2 weeks. all was accomplished with 2 scissor jacks, one large bottle jack, 4 jack stands. all socket wrench/torque wrench, open ended wrench, mallet, some flat tip screw drivers and as little blood as possible. I didn't have the socket to remove the hub, took three hours to source one (Green River UT, don't ask).
Here are the pix:

Tires are scheduled to arrive on the 9th. the rewinds were $396 out the door from discount tire. they arrived in 2 days. they came with valve stems and "mounting kit" the mounting kit was lug nuts. they sent the wrong lug nuts as our cars are stud type. and you will need the smaller diameter heads so that you can fit a wrench un the nut wells to tighten them. Guess I have to go to Discount tire here in town and see if I can get the right ones. the rims fit flush with the fender.
