Gear ratios

hey I recently got an Fb and one of the few things a have a problem with is the gear ratio it just seems super short I mean I know they are meant for racing and all but I would expect to be able to go 70 and not be at 3500 rpm but this could just be a me thing anyone have any suggestions that could make this an easy fix

Nothing to be "fixed".Those numbers you post are about right. Non SE FB has 3.909 final drive gearset. 5th gear,80mph=4k rpm.

Yep, mines at 4k @ 80 mph in 5th gear. This isn't a piston engine.

fuel economy is actually better between 3500-4000 than it is between 3000-3500. its not a piston engine.

So true. I get 24 mpg at 80 and it drops if I have to go slower.
