First gen videogame
Is there a racing game where you can race a first gen?
I'm not big on the racing games, but I've played GT 1-4. 1st gens aren't on any of those games.

Forza you can drive a gsl-se and then is a early 80's arcade game that had a first gen in it but I don't know the name.

its not a trophy car you have to check the used car lot and as i said before it shows up early in the game so make sure to check often and have enough money for it
also every 10 days the used car lots change so check on 0 10 20 30 so on so forth.

Forza 4 has amazing driving realism (people always make fun of me for saying that, but you can drive manual with a clutch - about as real as a video game is going to get) and makes driving the First Gen a blast.
I believe you can also go 13b-REW and 16x into the GSL-SE on Forza 4, as well as a ton of other upgrades to make it smoke some cheaper Ferrari's and Lambo's. Super fun to think of doing in a First Gen

GT2 isn't available in the Sony Playstation store....even if you bought a good copy of the disc your chances of owning a backward compatible PS3 are pretty slim since only 2 versions of the "Fat" PS3 were backward compatible and all the slim versions are not.

I supose that means I'm old now.
LOL, after looking at that Youtube clip of that turbo 83 being driven in Gran Turismo 2 I got a serious dose of nostalgia! I went out last night and found a PS2 for sale on Craigslist with all the accessories and cables and GT 1-4 for just $80 CAN. I'm going to buy it this afternoon and hopefully do some racing this weekend!!! May even spend the extra $25 and get the Logitech steering wheel that the seller is offering.

The SA is pretty accurite in the game... axle hopping and all LOL.
It took a while for it to show up for sale.
There is a trick to passing days in the game. Join a race and get through the first screen then drop out. One day will pass in the game. of course obtaining licenses helps pass days

They are still backards compatible with PS1 games via built-in emulator, PS2 support was what they dropped. It was the 1st gen 60gig fat boys that had all the PS1, PS2, and PS3 hardware built in the board, and were thusly 99% full backwards compitable

Japan isnt necesarily a year behind for vehicle dating, its just a different system...and honestly the Japanese way makes more sense. In America, june/july is the cutoff month for model years, I.E a car made in July of 2003, is considered a 2004. Whilst in Japan, they date a car by year of production only. In Japan, there were both an 85 SA/FB and a 85 FC, same for the 91/92 FC & FD. This is why at times its more important to look at series # (or the "Kouki vs Zenki" in other makes/models)
Im still thrown off by the Gran Turismo 2 "83 turbo" that is obviously a Series 1 chassis, regardless of SA or FB designation/year assigned to it

yeah, there was an '83 savanna turbo in production, but it wasn't a series 1 chassis. Cant believe Gran Turismo fucked that up, and continue to neglect old school mazda rotaries.
