i sooo hate trying to watch these vids with this laptop. they don't play worth a damn and i've searched the net to remedy the problem and nothing works.

it's couple yrs old running win xp sp2 amd 64 1.79ghz 1g ram. worked fine for a while but now it's gotten to be a pain.

 

It should play youtube just fine. When was the last time you reformatted? If it has been a while I usually run a register check and disable unneeded programs from the startup menu.

 

if i reformat i'd have to pay some comp place to reinstall os and all the other drivers. i think it was the last java update it ran when i started having probs. i've since uninstalled java and vids still play jumpy.

running an OLD toshiba Satellite. 1.79 GHz processor, 256mb ram, 27gb of hard drive. I've had this laptop for 3 years, and i bought it from my uncle who had it 3 years before that and its still one of the fastest computers that i have used in a while. starts up quick, doesn't really freeze unless i leave it on for a couple weeks without a reboot.

Do a defrag, disk cleanup, and look up windows XP tweaks. it will show you how to maximize the performance.

im usally up to 4am saturday working on my repu then sleep till 7am and then breakfast for my daughter and hit the couch most of the morning lol just about everyweekend i do this only time i get when everyones in be

so i juggle the forum and truck for 7hrs lol
