Usually when I finish work (long haul trucker) I stumble in the door about midnight, sometimes a few hours later. I then promptly sit in front of the computer and troll the forums for hours, practically refusing to go to bed, even though my body and mind are screaming at me to sleep. There was even one time that I was up so long I decided I wasn't going to bother trying to sleep, and stayed up until about 11PM the next day.

So I was planning on doing the wiring on the car today, and turned on my computer.

Somehow over the night all my services quit. No sound, No internet, nothing. Took me like 5 hours to finally get it working, then I got a BSOD! When it started back up, it went back to having NO SERVICES!

All that work for nothing. So I just reformatted. I should have just done that in the first place!

While I was at it, I went to find out how our download speed is at 10240kbs, but we were getting just shy of 300.

300.

300 out of 10240. Internet is slow as hell, and if I go on youtube, I cant even watch a 3 minute clip without letting it preload for 15 minutes. I mean it was bad. I have talked to the road runner people online and gotten ticket numbers for it, but when I called the local road runner, they never got any of it. So some calm bitching and 5 minutes later, I got this month for free and a tech will be out tomorrow to find out why it is so bad.

Computers suck.

Rent-a-cop. It's the perfect student job. Pays more than working some bullshit retail job, and I get to do my homework. Finding sleep is a challenge, though.
