As compiled and rated by London's Design Museum, published in 2009 in the book by the same name as the thread title.

The last two make me kinda question the judgement that went into the list, but still interesting.

I didn't go thru the whole list looking to see how these cars changed the world but I'm thinking only the first car on the list actually changed the world. I'm not positive but the Ford was not the first car. It was the first mass produced which made them cheaper which did change the world.

best two cars on the list are the Bugatti Atlantic and the Lamborghini Miura, both are just jaw dropping.

i think i would swap out the 1937 BMW 328, it has the kidney grille, which is the only styling trait BMW has, so that is the only reason anyone knows about the car, because its in every BMW brochure, because its either that or an isetta...

and replace it with a Mercedes Mercedes-Benz W125 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia or an auto union Auto Union racing car - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia which have been legend since they were introduced.

i'd also be tempted to change the GT40 out with the Ferrari GTO, or maybe a Porsche 917, or maybe i'd ditch the Trabant, as we didn't know what those were until the wall came down, and it was in that U2 video...

i also question the cube, it is very far from world changing....

not bad though, out of 100, i agree with more than 90

Odd to have the RX7 on the list but not the original 240Z.
