You can find a lot of information on the car, including how to tune the idle, at www.sterlingmetalworks.com

But most carb issues turn out to be vacuum leaks anyway, so start by checking vacuum lines and gaskets for leaks.

Good luck...

get a haynes manual and do it yourself. or check sterlings site. theres a lot of information out there. nothing beats a little DIY know-how. especially on older cars such as these.

if you must find a shop, contact Rotary Performance. theyre in Garland, not too far. www.rx7.com

Carb tuning

Thanks Kentetsu and deadpheonix52, yeah I spent sunday trying to tune and followed SMW's 10 steps exactly minus the bits that didnt pertain to my setup. No dashpot or anything else just a choke on my stripped carb with just the 1 adjustment on front middle of carb (IFA and throtle stop screw, 11/82 production date). Went thru 4 cans of brake clean looking for vac leaks. I hate taking my car in for another man to fondle my baby lol but ive tried everything I can think of and kinda on a time crunch. I leave this thursday on a 1400 mile round trip to nebraska ( booooo lol sister getting married) and trying to get my mpg up, b4 this weekend I was getting about 10-12 mpg with MSD wastespark setup. Probably going to try Rotary Performance but was trying to find somewhere a bit closer since im hurting time wise lol. Thanks again for the help and if anyone has any suggestions or things to look at let me know.
