I just picked up a 80 2 owner rx7 for $180. It dont run right now but for $180 how can i pass it up?

well you can part it out ebay style and make 5 times what you payed for it if you cant save it. scraping the body for salvage steel should net at least 200

Its not perfect but I jewed the guy down to $125. So cant be to picky at that price =) plus its my first SA.

 

Does she run and drive? U2 is a blue. The best way is to look and compare the exterior to places under the hood or carpet. Mazda Dave recently mentioned somewhere on the dash, like behind an endcap or something. The wheels are from an 81 or later, looks decent overall. Any engine bay shots? We like to peek under the skirt.

 

U2 is stardust blue metallic. it appears to be the correct color on the car. your car is a base S model

 

There is no engine in the car. It was pulled out. So in the deal my and 2 friends got 3 rx7s (2 1985 and 1 1980) 4 engines, 4 sets of rims and tries, all for $375. My brother in law 2 early rotarys so i will have a motor in soon i hope.

Under the carpet, hood the paint all matches. I was just surprised that paint wasnt it horrible shape for being 30 years old. I will get some engine bay shots if you want them.

The mileage reads 30,xxx so i dont know if its 130 or 230. but for the condition i would geuss 130.

 

Got the Gasket set for it the other day, now gotta get the o ring set

 

Damn. Looks like a clean, straight, rust free body! Sure as hell can't beat that for 125!

yep! peepers started life the same color, its nice IMO, a little rare on an SA too

 

nice SA! whats the deal with the headlights? are those painted or are they the leather covers? what are you plans after getting it running?
