Ehaust pipe

I want to replace my stock exhaust with one that has a louder deeper sound, but I don't want it to sound like a rice rocket. Any ideas on what type would sound good on my RX7?

Racing Beat arguably best sounding….and its spec'd for rotary, which have a habit of baking non-OE exhausts quickly...

Racing Beat's long primary exhaust which they call "street strip" is the one that sounds amazing. It's exactly what you're looking for. But you live in California, so good luck with that.

12A or 13B? I had a MagnaFlow stainless muffler and it sounded great. Nice and deep. I ran the stock exhaust with just the new muffler and sounded very clean.

12A street ported. I'm looking for a low deep tone. Not a sport bike sound.

Then look no further.

Street Port Exhaust System for 79-85 12A - Racing Beat

This is what I have and I love the low deep tone and the increased power everywhere compared to any other exhaust. This is due to the "long primary" effect.

You might balk at the price, but it is worth it for an exhaust system that bolts right up and lasts forever.

Wait, you're in California. Are you sure you can even remove your stock exhaust?

Yep, you want the RB SP system for sure. Great sound, last forever and really flows well.

Maybe OP is in Cali where theres less CARB constriants, if such a place exists.

There are parts of Cali that don't do biannual inspections... but there's no area where you can *legally* modify the emissions-limiting part of your exhaust system on any car 1976 or newer. CARB rules apply to the entire state, "enhanced" areas and otherwise.

If you care about legality.

I'm using the Racing Beat Road Race header midpipe and tip. I got the true dual one, and its nice and quiet at idle, and sounds pretty great when she's all revv'd up!
