that's a neat car, the v8 is nice in those, but i have to admit id go rotary in the MGB, its the easiest one to put a rotary in. in a midget the rotary exhaust ports exit into the frame rail, so its a lot of work, unless you mount the engine really high in the car.
the Tr2-4 Triumphs are easy too, but the chassis has enough trouble with 100hp! i measured up the 20B once, and its SHORTER than the stock 4cyl, and probably lighter, but 300hp would be just scary, in a bad way....
i think the MGB is the best engine swap candidate still though, its easy, and the stock engine is a POS, the Tr engine can be tuned to 130-140 pretty easy, and 170 is possible
the Fiat spider also might be a good rotary swap, but AFIK the engine bay is narrow

Damn that's a pretty car. Absolutely classic, in great condition and even has the wire wheels and all those toneau covers and stuff.
I think the British call that fire orange color "vermillon" or something like that, same color my '78 MGB had.
Makes me wish I had that car or even still had the MGB, but then I think, what would I do with it when I wasn't washing, waxing and doing maintenance?
Actually, now that I think about it, that's reason enough, I'm gonna' keep an eye out. Unfortunately that one on ebay is up to $13,000 with three days to go.

Yea there good cars in general if you like cars.
That 302 is going to run stock for now, then an upgrade to aluminum heads and get the E cam, hoping for 350 HP. It may be too much, but he's got tokico adjustable shocks and has lowered it an inch and a half. If it rips the car apart he'll weld it to be stronger.

The TR3 on ebay went for $21,495.00. I like yours better J9. I've got a thing for wire wheels.

the neat thing about these cars is that the wire wheels bolt on to an adapter that bolts on to the hub, so its actually easy to go from one to the other.
actually that reminds me, i need to true my wheels!
the red color is called 'signal red' although mine, and the ebay car are repaints. there was a Tr3 down the street that i used to ride my bike past on the way to school that was a pale yellow, which is the color i REALLY want, but the red's fine...
