And a center of gravity higher than the roofline of the car in stock form. The V8 I can handle. The slicks make sense. The stupid ride height is just senseless. Even rally first gens didn't sit that high, and they needed the ground clearance.

Just my $.02 here, but if he saved it from being scrapped, I call that a win. But, if he ruined a good car, then he ruined a good car.
As far as the ride height is concerned, it's a little drag racer trick from the 50s(?). Basically the more weight you have on tires the more grip they make (less efficiently, but that's another story), and because it's a 2 wheel drive car, you want as much weight on the rear wheels. Now, longitudinal weight transfer is a function of CG height, wheelbase, and acceleration (in 'g's). Making the CG higher increases rearward weight transfer, effectively putting more weight on the rear wheels. Hence gassers being jacked up. Now this guy probably just did it because he thinks it looks cool, but there is a method to the madness.

^---- Functional or not - still looks gay as hell.
Car ruined - and many good SA owners in need of parts. Our loss. Hopefully it doesn't sell and he does part it out.
And theres a big difference between a V8 swap and that mess of a car. If he kept it streetable I might chalk it up to taste, but that, my friend, is just a hack job.
