I started with this a while ago but left it on a corner since the engine refused to start.

I was moving some things today and decided to give it a second look.

I havenīt touched the speedo side, but I have the acrilic already cutted out. What would you guys do to the speedo part? Looks wise I mean.

I re assembled the dash, because I was unable to find a solution for the illumination. Yellow was a great idea, but when you try to illuminate it you canīt do it right, the mechanicals of the tach project a shadow. Any ideas? Leds from the side?

I have a bunch, and Iīm more than willing to send one to someone willing to try to make it work. (you pay for shipping).

Look into electro-luminescent sheeting.

I mailed some ebay suppliers and no one replied telling me IF you can cut those sheets any way you want

I have a spare SA cluster I could tinker with & power separate from the car; let me know if you want me to give it a go. I'd be willing to tackle it just for the sport of it.

I tried yesterday sanding the acrilic to see if that helps. I will report back with pics as soon as I find my 12v power source.

Not to sound negative, but what about the volt meter in the middle of the tach?
Do you have any of the speedo's in MPH?
This looks interesting, not sure on the color for myself how flexable is the process to change the face color?

 

I made those just for me, to my taste, flipping the needle to get 0rpm at 6 oīclock, spirit R style.

I had other ways to see voltaje so I didnīt care about the voltmeter.

Not sure if cost effective to run a batch making all 3 faces of the dash.

Sanding the front face, and then edgelighting it, would be my first approach.

 

Oh got ya, wasn't sure if you were potentially looking at reproducing them.

Not knowing the process couldn't guess I would bet something with vinyl could be done and clear coated but I am sure would not look as good as yours

13x: what I do is print a semi-translucid plastic sheet

 

The company I linked has a nice way of making cut to shape sheets, as they bring multiple contacts out. They have an online store with the cut to shape sheets. I don't know if ebay versions are as forgiving.
