I have a 83 12A RX-7. I put it in the shop 2 weeks ago. I ask them to do a carberator overhaul and look things over. They found the following things,
1. Bad Choke Return Valve
2. Bad Shutter Valve
3. Bad Altitude compensator knew it was bad
Received replacement parts and they were installed.
The carb has been on three times now and I am about to test drive it on Monday morning. I paid for the carb kit all parts and all I have left is the labor and the overhaul.
How big of a bite should I expect out of my wallet. Anyone have a good guess???

Probably should have just removed most of that crap from the carb, then rebuilt it yourself. Really not that hard to do as long as you can read and follow directions. I hate mechanics more than I hate working on cars. lol...
