MI A/C Compressor

The system has a charge and is holding it, but the compressor clutch is not engaging. Any way to manually engage the clutch? I am only seeing 1 wire connected to the cluch area. Should that be energized?

The one wire is the electromagnet on the A/C clutch; if you run 12v to it, the clutch will lock up and spin the compressor. Be aware that there is a positive pressure switch in the line that prevents the compressor from engaging if it senses low pressure. This prevents the compressor from burning itself up if the system runs dry. Your charge may be good, but your positive pressure switch (*or the wiring to it) may be bad, preventing compressor operation. Have a look at that, too.
