Brake swap question.

Planning on upgrading the brakes on my 83 GS. Thinking I would tackle the front end first and do the back end later.
The question is will the stock master cylinder (disk-drum) work with the 4 piston calipers?
Cheers
Dan

Yes - the stock brake master will work on a 4 piston caliper swap.

There is a "common" kit made to swap late model 1984-1985. This kit swap, the RE-Speed style one, requires a 1984/1985 front splines and rearend.

Thanks KansasCity, I have access to a gsl rear end and gsl-se front and rear but I've grown fond of the small bolt wheels I have.
If I can come up with 84-85 gsl axles then I could put them in the gsl-se rear end.
I don't see a big problem running the gsl solid disc rear end as the big 4 pot fronts would be doing most of the work anyway and I tend to drive like the old guy I am ......
mostly I have to decide what to do!
