How about some booty shots? :P
Sorry, missed this request entirely. I'll see if I can get a few this weekend. You were referring to "booty shots" of the car, correct?

Cody, I got the wheels on the internet. Purchased used from Trochoid...

Just keep the rev's below 7K and it should be fine. I've been convinced my motor is going to go on me for the last two years, but she keeps on ticking. Pour some oil down the Sterling if she starts to go on you and that 12A will get you home. Either that or take your wife's suggestion and trailer it down. I have to do some serious cleaning as well. There's still a big brown fuel stain that the muffler belched out all over the bumper, so I have to see if I can get that off, but if not then I'll wear it like a badge of honour. Stinky, tear inducing honour.

lol, I don't think we'll have any problems. It's just the old saying when somebody blows an engine: "but I just spent the money for an oil change/tuneup/new tires/carwash, or just about anything else can apply.

But I run her like a raped ape on the way back/forth to work everyday and she seems to love it. I've got faith in the old girl. 218,000 miles on the car, but only (unconfirmed, but rumoured) 70K on the motor. Seems strong enough. But if I show up driving a Camry rental, you'll know what happened.

Your 8" tires with a 4" back spacing will have an offset of -12 roughly actually. the 7" tires have 0 offset

http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp .. i just play around with this site

I think thatweb site's wrong. From everything I've ever measures and learned back spaceing is where the tire mounts in relation to the width of the rim.
an 8"rim with 4" back spacing is 0 offset. a 6" rim with 0 offset has 3" back spacing. All offset is how many MM from the center of the rim the wheel mounts. so if you have an 8" rim with +25.4 offset it will be 5" back spacing... get it now. and if it was 8" rim with -25.4 offset it would be a 3" back spacing. 25.4mm=1inch.

Now that makes more sense to me... Otherwise, there would need to be black magic involved or something.

Hyper, you have to remember that a rims width is only to the inside of the lip. You still have the lip edge to add on there for backspacing. You lay a straight edge on the back of the rim and measure. Offset goes from the rim width (not including the lips). thats why its a little different.

That makes sense, but who considers the width of the lip at all. then all my 7" rims are 7.5 with the lips too... When I measure back spacing I try and line it up not including the lip. Thant makes sense though. Thanx

I don't know who comes up with everything ... i'm just saying how they go . When you do custom rims you learn a thing or two about wheels.

Okay, we're having a small meet today, so I'll get a couple of shots for you (of the car)...

Whitey, I don't know what you're talking about. What/when/where is this Carlisle meet?
