"a turbo civic" is too vague of a statement for any of us to start shooting him advice. Cause come on guys seriously... a d16y8 sohc civic even with boost can be beat by our kid's tricycles; sandbagging.

i can't believe this thread has gone on forever, you already have a set power per say, you said he's only boosting 4lbs, so build from that, rebuild your 12a, break it in, then boost it. i don't know how much lighter the 7 is, but i'm guessing quite a bit lighter than the civic so you already have a bit of advantage on that. i'm guessing 6-10lbs of boost should do it...just my opinion. and on a side note, nobody gives a **** of what a honda can/can't do, i don't care if the stock ecu can run boost or not so please take your honda tech tips somewhere else.

my point is don't talk about something if you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. I could give a **** less about hondas anymore.

Is 9 seconds fast enough for you? There's faster if you want me to put some effort into the search...

You can't sleep on some of these civics. What makes them so quick is there weight. I Believe a 93 Coupe is only like 2300 with full interior. So with just simple bolt ons i seen civics eat cars with 1,000 lbs more with twice the hp. I raced one in my 97 Impreza with the 2.5 swapped in it, non turbo'd. This kid had a jdm b16 which is only something like 156 hp and 90 lbs of torque. My subie has 160 hp with about 158lbs of torque. I raped him off the start line but once he got traction and hit v tec he left me behind by 3 car lengths. All because of the weight of his car. He started talking **** that he can eat my 7.I honestly think he can unless I go turbo. If its a turbo hatch you better come with your A game. Those hatches move with whatever turbo is slapped on. I say go turbo, get some nice street tires, something like the Bridgestone G forces and learn to launch. Just my two cents.

I had a '94 Civic with a full bolt on B16a (jdm unit if it matters)

On a factory DX computer (**** tune and 7500rpm max) it was about as fast as a bolt on 2003 Mustang GT from a 60 roll.

But as you can see, I have a 7 now. I don't care how fast you make it, a civic will always feel like a civic. It has no x factor, which made it incredibly boring to me.

There such light cars. After that incident with my Subie I went to honda forums and picked up as much info as possible on them. Kind of scared me that them econoboxes can move so quick. That kid that beat me has it coming for him though. He talking all this nonscence that he 's going to take my 7 from me and put a prelude f22 motor in it and all this crap. These honda kids man talk so much **** its insane. No respect and there the one that usually ruin the car shows here where i live.

If it was reliable on the stock ECU then it wouldn't need an SAFC/Piggy back/Hondata. When it hit boost on a stock ECU it would lean out and detonate. But whatever, I don't care to waste my time with boring cars which is all a Civic was, is, and ever will be. You say you don't care about Honda's anymore yet defend them mercelessly. All you've done is this thread it troll and haven't made any usefull comments or suggestions at all so you are a troll.
