Back on the road! 85 GS
The 85 GS that I lovingly restored back in 2008 suddenly died on me last fall. The engine would run but barely. I parked it over the fall and winter and finally got around to diagnosing and fixing the problem after seeing my poor car sit nearly all summer. Found the issue to be traced to a faulty leading coil. It tested good originally but showed its true colors during a flooding incident while diagnosing the rough running issue on Friday. Replaced both coils with new oem Diamond coils and the replaced and adjusted the TPS. I adjusted the idle and mixture and the engine runs better than ever. So today, I took gave the car a bath and took it for a short drive and snapped a couple pics. Here's what I wound up with:

Running excellent after fixing the rough running and adjusting the TPS, mixture, and idle:

A quick should with one of my 944's:
A short acceleration video showing no running issues :

Thank you! I'm glad its fixed and on the road again. It was killing me seeing it sit. And I'm in the middle of restoring two 944's and having a second car here that will not run and drive is not good, especially when the wife asks questions about it, lol.

The color is why I bought the car. Its color code L6, called Ocean Blue Metallic and was only available for one year, 1985. The car started life as a GS but I bought it with a bad engine and did a complete SE engine conversion. I wanted reliability, smooth running and a little more power over a 12A.
