Anybody use these? (wheel adaptors)

As my search for another -SE is proving fruitless I need a way to ditch the 110 bolt pattern.

Anybody used these or know a better group to buy them from?

That's a really, really good price, and only 15mm thick, too. Man am I ever tempted...

I have a machinist friend making some for me. When we talked about how thick to make them, he was worried that 1" ~25mm wouldn't be enough to tighten it down and hide the lugnut. He's making them 1.5". At only 15mm I'd be worried that there isn't enough material between the lugnut and hub to be strong enough.

These are cheaper and a bit thicker to be less worried about.

Brian, that one is for only two adapters. So, for 4 of them, you'd be at $150.00...

I only need 2 because the front of my car is already 4x114.3.

I should have looked closer at the original listing to see that it was for 4.

SC grade of aluminum

I asked the seller what grade of aluminum he was using to make his adapters because of the concern about them being 15mm. Will post his answer when he responds

Bear in mind that the stock hub is only about 3/8" thick.

It isn't so much the "thin" lug nuts that would concern me. Even if you get a nut where the hex part is 7mm tall (pretty short), you then have to take into account the 60 degree taper of the lug nut. With an outer diameter of 17mm (on the small side) the taper eats up another 5.2mm. The 15mm spacer is already down to 2.8mm maximum thickness at the tip of the cone. Does this seem like enough material to you? It certainly seems risky to me.

The lugs don't hold the weight of the car, they only provide a clamping force. Friction holds the weight.

I got spacers/adapters for my FC which is heavier then a FB and it holds up very nicely. The only thing you HAVE to get is hub centric adapters. If you dont, your wheels wont line up perfectly(well easily anyway) and give you vibrations and unwanted stresses. Dont get these. as they are not hub centric. Try buying from this guy on Ebay, the guy i got mine from. He sells hubcentric ones and I went and dug through his product reviews and there is nothing but good about his spacers. http://stores.ebay.com/optionselects

Which goes to zero as soon as one lug loosens a bit. Need hub centric for a proper spacer.

the tr3 things are steel (or iron) which matters a lot, but they are only 1/8" thick or so, and then they cut the lug nut taper into it, so the thickness is small like you describe, AND they are not hub centric either!

The rim is not centered on the hub but the studs So why is "hubcentric" a "big" concern? I can see that it might add some strength but our cars are only what 2300lbs. The seller said he has never had a complaint or even had to retorque his adapters after 14,000km. 4 for $125 shipped works for me.
