That thing is very forgiving with my ham-fisted driving style. I entered corners way too hot, and surprisingly I was able to correct it and keep it on the road. Wife was pissed at me for (insert random reason of her invention here), so thankfully she was not talking to me. I took full advantage of this fact as we were driving down from Milan to Pizza and the highway was this twisty, blind-corner, decending mountain road that was just amazing. The wife was so pissed as she picked herself off the passanger door, then the driver's door, then the dash. But, she was too pissed at me to break the silent treatment and complain so I just kept pusing it harder.

When I got back stateside, my G35 felt like a brick so I gave it to the wife in the divorce. I now dream of sleek Italian curves.
That is the most heartwarming and inspirational story I have read all day.

Thanks! I think I will turn it into a children's book, or maybe add it to the For Dummie's series: "How to Take Advantage of Your Significant Other When They Childish Give You the Silent Treatment--Alfa Edition".

I'll buy it and then leave it on the coffee table as an advanced warning to any potential future female offenders.

That was a couple years ago. I believe it was a 1.9 TDI. I have pictures I took of it on my home computer. I will try to dig them up.

Yup! When in Rome... I learned that the speed limit on the highways is "whatever the hell your car can do". I was doing 220, and a Lambo passed me like I was sitting still. On my way back to the airport, it was early in the morning and I thought I was flying. A 3 series came up behind me and passed me. I tried my best to keep up with him, but he lost me eventually. My car would not go over 240.

I'm hoping they'll make a comeback now with Fiat owning Chrysler. I would seriously consider a 159 as a daily driver.
