Someone needs to grab this, This would be the Lowest Vin # on the registry and it appears all stock.

That would be a cool restoration project. I wish I had the cash and the space.

I like the lack of confidence Mazda had back then. There's only enough room on the odometer for 5 numbers, not 6.

I looked at the auction and did not see the vin posted anywhere, how did you verify the vin? regardless of that one way or another I agree with your assessment it needs to be restored, so bid placed

If you take I-70 instead of I-80, I'm on the way, about 624 miles from Denver, lol.

Iirc, the base models didn't have a dead pedal but the clutch and brake pedal locations do look off. The Denver metro area doesn't use salt, so the body may be reasonabley rust free. Main thing I notice is the lack of sun fading that's so common at that altitude. I've seen an early red 7 out there that turned pink from sun fade. I'm still kicking myself for not buying it. It wouldn't pass emissions and I could have bought it for 300, (needed a carb rebuild), but at that time I thought SAs were ugly. I've since changed my perspective on that and would love to have one.

With the bid at 600, it's a bargain, so far.

It's a little bit farther than 624 miles, Not to Ohio but to San Antonio

you know i did not notice that before but looking back at the pitures it is not off-centered but it is down resting on the floor which would indicate a bad/leaky clutch master or clutch slave meaning that you really shouldn't attempt a long term drive with this.

I forget what the vin on mine was, but it was super super low as well, and noone on all of 7club would buy it for even $50, so I had to scrap it because the landlord was freakin out about it.
