*** 1st Gen 1/4 Mile Leader Board ***

I have a members 1/4 mile list thread going on a forum I moderate. I thought it would be cool if we get a list going like that here for us 1st genners since this forum is larger, and theres more 1st gen guys. This also helps us since we dont have a time slip/dyno sub-forum to post in.

I started the other list with 1 and then just number down each other member. We can all have the goal of being Number 1. Copy and paste the list into your post, add your name and time in the proper order then please renumber the rest of the members to there new number on the list.

Lets see how fast we are!! (Or how slow. )

MODERATOR EDIT: Great Idea!! Let me help you out.. -DF

BEST E.T. (ELAPSED TIME)

Post your times with your Best E.T. (with mph) and
Post your Best M.P.H (with e.t.) and I will continue updating the list.

Let us know all the details of your setup as well:
stock, bolt ons, carbs, headers, fuel injected, turbo,
nitrous, slicks, drag radials (DR's), etc..

Oh, and more importantly: don't try to jerk the members around.

Be prepared to show proof of your times and/or MPH...
Just in case the is called out on you.

THIS PAGE SHOULD BE SEEN AT A MINIMUM
RESOLUTION OF 1280 x 1024 FOR EVERYTHING TO LINE UP PROPERLY.

sorry but there is something wrong with your set-up...You should be running faster than 15.267 with 12-A halfbridge/48 IDA.

wacky I know the weber is set up for a streetport 12a (37mm chokes.) I just didn't feel like buying two sets of chokes for it since i have to buy 46mm chokes for the weber to go on the 13B p-port later this year.

Not necessarily, depends a lot on location and elevation. Here in Calgary for example our elevation is quite high, take the same car 200 miles SE to Medicine Hat near sea level and your time will drop anywhere from .6-1.0 second with the same car.

I used to run at LACR twice a week. LACR is 2,710 ft. above sea level and the track is shitty.

For what it's worth, the first (and last) time I took my car to the track I ran an 8.1 @ 88mph in the 1/8. Could have hit 7s that day, but insert excuse here.

/Then, grenaded a diff in the eliminators and decided not to go back.

My best was 1/4 mile ----- 13.6@102, 2.2 60ft ----- GSL-SE w/stock S5 TII swap

My turbo was very tired and was only peaking to 8 psi max and wont hold. It was down to 4-5 psi by redline. Still alot of fun!

Yup. The cross winds; getting into 3rd gear and trying to finish the 1/4 in 4th gear at max rpm was scary at that track. Can't lie; I had a good time.

Havent been to the track in about 5-6 years, but my best time back then, with a tired junkyard S4 engine and stock S5 turbo, was 13.59@106mph.

I pulled a handful of those at sea level at about 70* outside temp.Thats with 205-15 street tires,LSD and about 1.9 second 60' times.Nowadays,I should be able to best those marks easily with my ported S5 setup,TO4B and 245 rears........just havent been to the track, drag racing lost its appeal and it too damn crowded anyways.

We'll have to see what my blown 1/2 bridge will do when it's done with a little (50) shot of juice for chemical intercooling.

With my old 84 GSL-SE 24k miles on engine. RB header/pre silencer, dynomax 2.5 muffler, 4.444 gears, eibach/tokiko's, 15x7 rims 15.6 @ 89ish (looking at my spedo on 1/4 mile temp track) When my carb was on, if I would of tuned it right... it would of broken mid 14 no prob.
