Iv got a 85 GSLSE, fuel injected, the works.... i took off the first 2 cats and the rear pipe and right now just have a home made pipe on it, sounds good and is straight throught, just wondering about some cheap easy mods, kinda lost with all the info overload here. wanted to know if i can take off the airpump and all and if itll hurt the 6 port.. if some one could message me on here, like a PM, or on facebook or myspace or something, my email is antwanl@hotmail.com, any and all help is appreciated, also is the RB header alot better than the Pacesetter one? performance wise and sound wise?

Okay, lets see here.....
I've never lost a race due to a lack of horsepower (autocrossing in CSP). The only things you can change to increase power in CSP is carb, exhaust, and ignition, so you're pretty limited on what you can do. But with a Sterling carb (www.Sterlingmetalworks.com), a Racing Beat exhaust, and direct fire ignition, I've got plenty to work with.
For suspension; I started out with Racing Beat springs and swaybars, but after a year decided that it had been a bad decision. Great stuff for general cruising, or for "tightening up" that 25 year old ride, but I wanted real performance....
I spoke with Billy from www.Re-Speed.com and told him I wanted a car capable of being a winner in CSP, but could still be driven on a daily basis. He set me up with the perfect suspension and gave me exactly what I had been looking for. Here's the specs:
Front coilovers with 275 Lb. springs and Tokico Illumina adjustable struts
Rear adjustable perches with 150 Lb. springs and Bilstein shocks
Front hollow adjustable swaybar (great improvement over the RB bar)
Rear adjustable swaybar from ISC Racing (no longer available)
Overall, I couldn't be happier with my car. I even drove it all the way down to North Carolina for the Tail of the Dragon meet this spring. The ride was almost "comfortable", and the performance on those mountain roads was unbelievable.
At autocross, I'm doing very well. Even Miatas are no longer a concern unless they are highly modified and on very nice race rubber. I faced one of those a few weeks ago at the season opener, and he only beat me by 2/10ths of a second while I was running $48.00 Sumitomo tires. Not bad at all. And there were 10 - 12 other rotaries there (1st gen, 2nd gen turbo, RX8s) and the fastest rotary of the weekend (both days) was powered by a Sterling Carb! Who needs a turbo anyway..

I put a cone filter on my Fb what is if you do upgrade to that intake, go to racing beat and get a injector hole plug kit. it's full alluminum. cut the square braket in half, and cut about 3/8 to 1/2 in off the top of each plug. goto the secondary injector holes and take the plastic seats out and shove the plug in and then the 1/2 of the sqare on that and tighten it down with the supplied screws. great mod 10-15 hp. and very easy to do. takes about 2 hours with all the equipment.
