(OTHER) smog pump removal

I assume some here have done this for differing resons. dont worry about my reasons. what I would like to know is will my remaining belt sqeek. Or do I need two add a belt contacting the water pump pulley & main pulley, or will the double sheeve alt pulley achieve the same purpose. Pending the double sheeve alt pulley is ther one offered without underdrive. Thanks for the replys. Yes I've already contacted RB I could just use some real exp. lates
thanks

I just have a dual belt alt pulley and shes never squeaked once... not sure about non underdrive ones... I never ran it with just the single belt but the main problem with the single belt isnt the squeaking its the fact that at higher rpms it will slip and your waterpump will cavitate which you dont wont... i mean its not such a threat for a street car but... I just wanted the piece of mind when I ordered mine.

when I ordered my exhaust from RB, I ordered a dual alt pulley too. The exhaust came first, so I put it on and drove it 'cause I couldn't wait for the pulley. I reved it up once til it squealed, about 5K, and took it home. I didn't want to destroy the wp. The pulley came the next day. I put it on, added another alt belt, and no more squealing.

Is the dual pulley needed if you are running an electrical fan?

I have an electric fan on the car. so maybe the pulley is not needed. I think I'll still get it though, redundency is always good.

Im running with no air pump and my POS clutch fan with a stock alt pully. I got a high quality aftermarket belt, i guesse it stops the sqeaking.
