Scott: The scuff plates will actually be getting a few extra coats just incase (Also considering maybe shooting some bumber clear coat on there or something to protect the paint more). Also played around with the vynil pieces that go ontop of the rear wheel wells, bending them into really sharp angles and stuff, without any problem what so ever. as in no cracking or peeling of the paint.
$100t2: Thanks for the compliments.
Openshot: The paint is a dupont vynil paint, the cleaner and adhesive promoter is an SEM product.

carpet samples finally came in today! ... they're missing 2 but that's alright. Anyhow for more picture time . The ones that I'm strongly considering are the 2 on the right. Second last one is called Camel Tan, and the last one is called cognac. Also i'm not sure if this is because theses are just samples or what, but those carpet samples are really shedding? I'm going to blame it on the unfinished edge. Forgot to mention, the material type is called cutpile.

I got mine from stock interiors just the rear cargo area and extra for the rear window hatch section. they sent the wrong shape (floor hump) I had to send a cut out of the old piece, they got it right this time and with a nicer trim stich.
Anyone want a Maroon carpet (wrong shape floor hump)?

the paint is holding up great. Its not in the car just yet. Well not all of it, because i'm not done fidling around with wiring yet. I even left some stuff outside in the snow .. ya testing to its best lol, rinsed it off an was fine. I have orion84gsl (chris) to witness that too.

Yeah paint held up fine to the elements, so it should be ok in the car. Luckily I have someone with experience in my area to help me with my burgundy to black conversion this summer

Same here I like black interiors, all my rx-7's have black interiors... but it looks like you've done a great job with the color change Sam, can't wait to see that car all together. Looks like I might be winning our little race right now, mine is almost back on the road

This is too funny.
The new GSL-SE I got is for my girl and I told she can pick the color she wants to paint the car and she really likes the darker british racing green. Her favorite color combination is the green on tan. I'll have to show her this when I get home. You're doing what looks to be a fantastic job. Keep up the good work...
Although, now I cant have a green one too. Maybe I can win with my pick of the "steel blue" lexus color with tan interior, hmm...
