Just so you know, rotorhead.ca is only a middleman. He takes the order, you paypal him the money, and he forwards both to the company that provides the product. If you have any issues, pm Manntis either here or over at www.theforumlounge.com and he will look into it for you.

The Good:

MazdaTrix: Good customer service, prompt shipping and of course a fantastic array of parts
Racing Beat: Much the same, great guys to deal with over the phone. They did take a while to ship my last order, but they were swamped and were up front about the delays.
ISC Racing: I haven't ordered from them yet, but they have great customer service and are more than willing to answer questions about their products. Definately my next stop when I change to a coil-over setup.
RX7Carl: Ordered some bolts/nuts for his rear suspension mod. Good communication throughout. Probably this forum's best citizen.

The Bad:

Classic Car Garage: Decent customer service and shipping but I've had no luck with their old-stock Koni strut inserts. I've been through two sets in as many years. I guess they're cheap for a reason. Can't speak to their other products though.
Ground Control: I was ready to drop several hundred dollars on shocks, springs and bushings but the attitude of the sales staff changed my mind in a hurry. They treated me like I wasn't worth their time, so I took my business elsewhere.

I agree with all of the above, and have to add Ralph Hatley of Menlo Mazda in California. He sells factory parts for wholesale $. He is a rotorhead all the way back to the early pre RX's.

part suppliers

for overseas readers :

I am in Cape Town, south Africa

Victoria British is great ! Good catalogue with lots of hard to find bits. Ships promptly, door to door thru customs, etc in about 10-14 days

Mazdatrix for performance part also great. Pricey but have those quality performance parts. Also door to door thru customs in 10-14 days.

Am currently dealing with Rob of Pineapple racing. A wealth of information, great guy.

Let's not forget Carl and Sterling at PBandJRacing. Great value (IMHO) and super follow up with orders and questions.

The best way to order from Mariah is calling them. I check the website regularly, and have never it seen it down. If you look at the TERMS link on the site, you 'll get the ordering information, but again, the best way to deal with them is on the phone. You can also hit the CONTACT link and shoot them an e-mail.

(805) 965-5115 or info@mariahmotorsports.com

Just ask for Jim... he's in charge there.

same as others

Racing beat rocks A+++++++++

Summit is Ok for small stuff but they don't allways list all that is available. Check the manufacturer for the part number and then summit can get it.

I live in ft.lauderdale. When ready I'll check out Lopez's racing.

Doing most of the stuff myself but the turbo in the 1st gen I'll leave to a proffesional in order to get it right.

By the way how much did that cost?

i've been fortunate enough to not get burned by any of these. Now this is not my debate on which parts are better from where, but when i've decided what to buy, and where from, all of these have come through without any problems at all.
I am in the process of building a pocket rocket, I would be interested in knowing what you have there and who built that beauitful engine.

I agree that both VB and mazdatrix are amazing. Has anyone dealt with demonspeed.com? Their fiberglass hood looks like it could be cool.

Racing Beat - Great company, a little expensive, but what rotary site isn't?
Mazdatrix - Excellent
MazdaSpeed - Nothing better than factory support
Rotary Racing & Reliability - Nick is an amazing engine builder, and my streetported 13B 4 port lasted well over 100,000 hard miles. And that was on an engine built to the spefications of ~220 flywheel hp! The guy will build an engine to any specifications needed.

Guys, I would also like to add that Robert fron RotaryShack is a top notch guy. He will bend over backwards in order to help out anyone. Plus, as said before, he will help anyone with any situation.

Hell, I have only talked to him about possible deals and problems that I was experiencing, and he still whole-heartedly listened and answered all of my questions.

If the time ever comes, I will certainly go to RotaryShack.

Atkins Dan = teh Awesome!

(not only were the lenses I bought high quality, but when the post office managed to break one, he replaced it without me even asking him to!)
