Thumbs up

Yay! I got the last one. This will work well with my vmount. Thank you shine.

Anyone know what the little vent near the passenger windshield is for? Heat from turbo to escape while sitting?

There isn't an actual cutout/opening for it on the version shine produces.

Under speeds of 30-35+ MPH the wind meeting the windshield would be forced in the opening and cool the turbo area. Or it would work the opposite way air would be removed through that vent during speeds of 35 MPH or greater i assume.

Awesome. It seemed kind of odd anyways.

do you use a UV resistant plastic resin with the carbon fiber? I'm still interested in one of these hoods.

Replacement hood arrived in good condition. Only blemishes seem to be where the windshield squirters go. I'll either drill them out or cover with vynal if I loose them. Thanks for contacting FedEx and sending a new one!

I'll post a pic when installed. Anyone put some aerocathes in theirs yet?

I finally got a chance to put the hood on today. It looks great.

There is a dime sized spot on the drivers edge of the hood where the clear coat came off during shipping. I must have missed it when I initially opened the box for inspection. I'm going to have to have somebody locally fix it. The carbon fiber is still intact. Anyone have any tips to find some one who can repair carbon fiber correctly?

Was anyone else able to close the hood with the stock hood latch? I lubed my
latch. Folded two hands above the latch and pressed down until I heard a crack. I think I'm going to remove the latch and use aero catch hood pins.

Dude your in Japan, go out and buy the real thing from Pan Speed, Garage Kagotani or the FORESIGHT Racing hood. Be alot cheaper. For us State side this is the route to go if you can get a hold of Them at Shine Auto.... I've been trying to get one of these hoods now for awhile, I'm about to order up on of the 3 hoods from RHD Japan if they don't get back to me soon.

Original panspeed hood fitment was awful if I remember reading this whole thread correctly. Careful man.

Did you email Shine? Contacting him isnt the best via telephone, but he does check his emails frequently in my experience.
