FC3S: Panspeed Style Drop Vented Hood
Dude your in Japan, go out and buy the real thing from Pan Speed, Garage Kagotani or the FORESIGHT Racing hood. Be alot cheaper. For us State side this is the route to go if you can get a hold of Them at Shine Auto.... I've been trying to get one of these hoods now for awhile, I'm about to order up on of the 3 hoods from RHD Japan if they don't get back to me soon.

If you are having a problem getting the hood to latch down, grind down the diameter of rod on the latch. The main problem is the thickness of the rod on the latch. We can't seem to source Japanese (metric) sized latches or at least the size Mazda used for the FC. We use a rod size for the latch that is close, but slightly bigger. Grinding it down should help.

Every lb matters in racing. I am trying to decide if i should drop the cash at all or stick with the aluminum hood and just do some cutting and forming...for the vents.
I want to add vents near the rear corners of the hood too.

I've been trying to find out how much in CF, I'll call shine later this week.
I'm planning on buying the sexy style hood, I'll weigh it when I get it to compare CF and FRP.
I just ordered one to go on my racecar. I'll take a bunch of pics and comment on fitment with various underhood stuff, including typical strut-bar. I'll also take a weight using my scales.
I have what is probably the last untouched virgin new from the factory never installed, drilled or even come near a car panspeed hood on the planet. If anyone is interested in the real thing let me know.
From my own experience with this hood.
This hood works well if you have an efan and s4 radiator. Zero clearance issues.
It also works with S5 radiator but you have to trim out a small area for the fill in neck.
Not really compatible with stock fan shroud.
Ducting the radiator to the hood opening will release alot of hot air after the coolers exchange.
Fitment was good when I purchased it years ago.
