Pan American Results - 11.5@118MPH

Well I finally got to test my new setup today. I recently installed a Greddy T78 with a custom manifold and Greddy Wastegate. Here's the story...

On Saturday Waynespeed and I hit the dyno, at 22psi we made 429HP and 387 ft/lbs of torque at 6K rpms. I had to let off after that since the rotary performance was not holding up. The Fuel pressure was dropping signifincantly.

We left the dyno about 4pm and I had a choice to make. Run at Pan Americans with low boost or just upgrade the fuel system in under a couple of hours.

I purchased the sump from S and K Speed and sumped the tank. I had a friend weld the sump to the tank and my friend Mike and I started about 8pm. By 4 am Sunday morning we had the fuel setup complete. A Sumped tank, all AN lines, 2 Bosch fuel pumps, 2 filters adn I had to remove the primary rail to add the AN fitting there. I am still using the stock return lines.

While Mike was finishing the fuel system, I was installing my axles (300m). WOW waht a night.

Here's the kicker, I did not realize that changing fuel setups would affect the car as much as it did. I figured if you keep the same fuel pressure all will be ok. Boy, was I wrong....I really didnt have enough time to tune as I would have wanted so I made my first pass at Atco early Sunday morning, NO SLEEP YET.....

First pass with a Greddy T78 was 13.8. I almost fainted. As I was heading down the track I was saying to myself "this does not feel like 11seconds" You shoulda seen my face when she showed me the slip.

I was depressed and I asked Waynespeed if he could help me. With under 5 min of tuning I made one more pass.

11.5@118MPH with a 1.75 69 ft time and temps of 167 deg on the ground.

At this point I was happy and we let it a that. I broke out of my class and was sent home at this point.

Thanks!

Anthony

At least you made it. If you didnt I was gonna bust ***** since I didnt see you at many events this year and I know that is not like you! Im happy that you were there, now we have to bust on greg since he didnt make it

Call me and we can check out the haltech issues. Its gotta be something minor but we can compare with my car like we did wth the crank wires.

Bajee is no joke, i like the way he does things, no big team backing him, no lifts, just a regular guy with a 9sec machine. No turbos LOL. Imagine when he goes turbo wow. I was talking to him at the track and hes a nice guy. He is also very supportive.

That would be cool! I was thinking about that while at the track since I notice there are a lot of west indians competing. Baggies car hit the 9s, Tony from T and R made another 10sec pass and Romeo installed a new tranny adn was having issues going into 3rd and 4th and ran 12s
