JDM bilsteins
I'm trying to find out more info about the JDM bilsteins that come with the recent FDs. They seem like they would be a good (and hopefully cost effective) upgrade for those looking for a non tunable setup.
If anybody knows how much they cost or if bilstein will sell them directly please let me know. Also I'm looking for handling performance numbers on the 99 and up FDs(any or all of them
The only data I've been able to find relates to acceleration.
Thanks
Chris C.

Why JDM Bilstein?
I go to Germany and buy Bilstein and sell it in Japan.
If you want to get special purpose Bilstein,
There are several types.
The vendors are LACK, Ennepetal, Tetsuya Yamano(used to be a RE-A driver) and so on.
There are wide range of prices.
But very expensive.
All of them are for track use.
It is hard to drive on the street.
If you love Bilstein, I recommend you to get normal Bilstein.

thanks for the info. My stock touring shocks are dead and I want to replace them with something that is more aggressive, but still streetable/cost effective. I was under the impression that the JDM RS puts down better handling numbers than the R1. Some of that is probably due to the larger wheels/tires but I imagine the shocks also contribute. Do you know how much they go for?
Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development offers Bilstein HD shocks for the FD Rx7. The price is not much different from stock Showa R1/R2 shocks...I'd try Mazdaspeed first...http://www.mazdamotorsports.com/

Then, you can spare the big shipping cost from Japan.

Are the 1993 R1 shocks similar to the Heavy Duty (HD) Bilsteins or the Sport Bilsteins ?
What about the supposedly 1999+ OEM Bilsteins ? Are they like the current HD or Sport Bilsteins for the FD ?
Thanks,
