FD (I think) alternator on RE with s4 water pump problems? (BIG PICS)

Hello. I am having some major issues with my alternator/water pump belt. About every 3 weeks I have to get a new one. I have tried putting it on the rear, and it hits a nut/bolt on the water pump housing and ends up getting looses and squeeling / breaking. I put it on the front, and it lasts a little longer, but gets loose and is starting to wear away. Squeels at night and leaves belt shreadings all over the water pump and alternator after it does it.

Things just don't seem right. It doesn't line up with the alternator mount on the driver side, I have to add a spacer. The rear belt of the dual alternator pulley is to far back, causing the belt to hit the water pump nut when it gets even a little loose, but the front one seems to be almost perfect. Maybe a little bit to far back, like 3 mm. The spacer is in the rear of the alternator mount..... Do I just have the wrong pulley on the alternator or what?

Here are some pictures... is this even an FD alternator? :/

Anything looking fishy here? The pulley looks a lot like the one arron cake uses.... Maybe I need a spacer between the alternator and the pulley?

Thanks

based on the fact that it looks like your using an s4 front cover and the mount on the left hand side of the alternator it looks to me like its just an s4 alt and thats why the pulley isnt working
also the plug looks different from an fd alt but im not 100% on that...

I know it is not an s4 alternator because the s4 alternator has the plugs in the back of the alternator. Thank you for the good try though!

It is an RE front cover. It is an s4 t2 water pump housing I am pretty sure.

Second last Picture.I look at that, and To me anyways,I see the belt is not exactly straight on the Pulley, and going to the water pump.It curves a touch into the front of the engine.(Or am I seeing things?).
Have you tried to put on an S4 or S5 alternator?.
I am thinking it is the pulley.
Question: did the alternator come with the Pulley already ON it?.Is the pulley For THAT alternator?(If it is an FD pulley, then that may be your problem,it needs to be an FC pulley for an FD alternator)..Good luck.I hope I helped.

That is what I thought. I am going to try and space it out forward a little bit and try to get the rear one lined up a little better. I guess I will just use washers. I am a little worried that if I move it forward, the front groove will move to far forward.

I have been looking at aaron cake's setup a little more, and it seems like his belts are making a V. (Further apart and the top and get closer as they get to the water pump/main pulley) What do you think? It seems as though he has the same pulley as me.
