Dyno results... 424whp @ 18psi on e85

I know I'd already posted the results in the e85 thread that I have going right now, but I thought I'd make a thread on my results from the weekend. I made the trip down to Sioux Falls, SD, and Joey from Excessive did the tuning for me. We were able to tune to 424whp @ 18psi. I am waiting for him to get back in touch with me on some of the details such as injector duty cycle, timing, a/f, etc. Mods are as follows:

Stock motor
Precision t4 pt67
sls custom manifold
sls vmount ic setup
tial 44mm wg
tial bov
aem ems
aem ignition
aem wbo2
850/1600 injectors
dual walbro fuel pumps

Be happy to hear your thoughts, and I'll post up the dyno sheet later today.

Just out of curiosity. Were you monitoring EGT's? If so, what kind of levels were you getting?

Peak and hold or resistors?
How far can you go with 280l/h pump and 850/1600 using resistors?

resisitors. I have the ultimate fuel package from Jason at rx7store.net.

I'm not sure what to tell you, my personal experience is only on dual walbro 255 pumps.

How long have you been running the walbro pumps? They do not claim to be flex fuel rated. Also, did you replace the injector orings and such on your injectors or were they already flex fuel injectors?

Data logs of the runs would be awesome.

glad to see you posting this info here. I have been wondering about this e85 but decided to wait to here more results as I do not want to be a tester.,. On the stock ports, thats great numbers. I made if I recall correctly 430 at 20psi area on a 40r (w/ stockports). But this was real lean, not as safe as I bet yours are..

Very impressive. Congrats!
BTW...I made over 500rwhp on stock ports on my old red fd. Ari made over 600rwhp on stock ports.

I"m curious after all this dyno tuning, and having my turbo go out on me only a mile or so after taking it off the trailer, if my numbers are legit, or if that hurt my numbers. Also I have an intake temp issue. the shop that did my setup, didn't finish the v mount design, so my radiator is heat soaking my intercooler. so I need to get that finished, and get some sheet metal ducting in there. whatever little things could I look at to get my closer to my goal of 500whp without messing too much with my tune. what potentially could I pick up with a different lim. whatabout aftermarket uims? are any worthwhile? thanks for the feedback guys.

are you using the 3ohm resistors that came with rx7 store? I tried those with my aem ecu and the ecu could not reliably control them at all. Half the time they just wouldnt do anything. I swapped to 10ohm resistors and all was well, i just had a whole lot of injector lag that i had to account for. Also, if you dont mind, i would be interested to see what your map looks like.

yeah I'm using the resistors that came with the rx7 store fuel package.

goodfella... my guess is it was a bearing failure. my compressor wheel hit the housing, taking chunkcs out of the wheel. when taken off the car, I could push from the back side, and move the entire center cartridge forward, and then from the front side push it back... had some definitely play. I'll find out exactly what's wrong, and what is gonna have to be replaced when I get the phone call from Precision.
