I think the knock sensor is just a microphone that monitors one rotor. You only need to worry if the knock is high when you are going wot. I have high knock readings when I'm just cruising, but they go down when I get on it.

its lika a small microphone that pics up detonation but its also very sensitive and can pick up other noise sometimes and make the knock reading look wrong.

Every motor is different, no two are alike. While you may have 68+ knock it may or may not be true knock. This is something you need to figure out. The knock sensor will pickup noise caused by miscellaneous things such as having a drive train slack, parts hitting each other or scrapping, etc. Things such as these will cause knock to show up under low or cruising speeds and light acceleration. If this is not the case then odds are that you do have true knock.

From personal experience, my knock level used to be in the upper 30s sometimes as high as upper 50s under cruising and acceleration. I played around with my timing and it started to come down to low 3s. So in my case 30s and above was true knocks. I'm still working on removing it all. This will prove to be a timely process.

You also might want to think about getting a new knock sensor if it reads excessive knock. Mine constanly would read way above 100 knock except when idling. Obviously that couldn't be true or else my motor would've blown long ago. I looked at my knock sensor and it looked a little weird so i replaced it and that fixed it.

Check yours visually and also tightness. I believe the FSM says it should be torqued to 39ft/lbs so use your best judgement.

Have someone ride in the car with you. Have them watch the knock reading to see if you are getting the high reading when you go wot, or it is just from cruising. Then go from there.

This is normal with the PFC, and nothing to worry about. But you can solve it by taking all the values above 38 on the IGL map, upper right portion, and making them 38deg. Make sure to adjust your IGT accordingly, to 3 degrees after IGL.
